CCTV Footage Shows Diyarbakir City During Earthquake

Rekaman CCTV yang baru-baru ini dikeluarkan oleh kepolisian Kota Diyarbakir, Turkiye, menunjukan keadaan kota ketika gempa bumi magnitudo 7,8 skala richter mengguncang kota tersebut pada Senin (6/2).

Pada rekaman tersebut, dapat dilihat tiang-tiang lampu jalan yang bergerak, kemudian disusul dengan ambruknya sebuah bangunan yang menyebabkan beberapa kabel listrik terputus dan meledak. Orang-orang berhamburan keluar ke jalan untuk menyelamatkan diri dan menghindari kepulan debu hasil dari robohnya bangunan.

Ratusan orang dari seluruh dunia datang dan membentuk tim penyelamat untuk mencari penyintas dari bencana ini. Upaya penyelamatan masih berjalan, meskipun dengan harapan yang semakin kecil, akibat jangka waktu dari terjadinya bencana sudah melampaui kemampuan tubuh manusia untuk bertahan tanpa adanya air, terutama di suhu rendah.

CCTV footage released by the Diyarbakir City Police Department shows the situation when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook the city on Monday (2/6).

The footage shows the lamp posts shaking, followed by a building collapsing, resulting in some of the power lines being cut and exploded. The people then flooded the streets, trying to save themselves and avoiding dust coming from the collapsed building.

Hundreds of people from around the world form a rescue team to help find the survivors after the quake hit. Rescue effort is still ongoing, despite a smaller chance of finding survivors, as the time passed since the quake has reached the limit of the human body's ability to survive without water, especially in sub-freezing temperatures.
