Jambi Police Chief Successfully Evacuated

Pada Selasa sore (21/2), Kapolda Jambi Irjen Rusdi Hartono dan seluruh rombongannya berhasil dievakuasi dari Bukit Tamia, Kabupaten Kerinci, Jambi, dalam kondisi selamat, setelah terjebak sejak Minggu (19/2), karena helikopter yang ditumpangi mereka terpaksa melakukan pendaratan darurat akibat cuaca buruk.

Angin kencang, kabut tebal, kondisi hutan yang lebat, dan medan yang sulit dijangkau menghambat proses evakuasi oleh tim gabungan dari TNI, Polri, dan Basarnas.

Proses evakuasi memakan waktu lebih dari 48 jam.

On Tuesday (2/21) afternoon, Jambi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Rusdi Hartono, along with his entourage of police, were successfully evacuated from Bukit Tamia, Kerinci Regency, Jambi, after being trapped there because the helicopter they boarded was forced to make an emergency landing due to bad weather on Sunday (2/19).

Heavy winds, thick fog, dense forest, and difficult terrain hindered the evacuation process by the joint team from the armed forces, police, and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas).

However, after more than 48 hours, the group was successfully evacuated.
