Nusantara Announced a Public Vote for The City Logo
Kepala Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) Bambang Susantono mengajak seluruh rakyat Indonesia untuk memilih logo kota Nusantara sebagai Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) yang baru.
"Pemilihan logo IKN diselenggarakan secara terbuka agar rakyat Indonesia dapat terlibat langsung dalam proses pemindahan ibu kota negara dari Jakarta ke Nusantara, Kalimantan Timur," ujar Bambang dilansir siaran pers IKN, Selasa (4/4).
Dalam sayembara pembuatan desain logo IKN, Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (OIKN) bekerjasama dengan Asosiasi Desainer Grafis Indonesia (ADGI) dan PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk atau BNI.
Pada tahap pertama terdapat 500 desainer yang berpartisipasi dalam ajang ini, Selanjutnya, melalui penyaringan berdasarkan syarat-syarat di atas oleh para dewan kurator ADGI maka terpilihlah 10 desainer finalis, 10 logo karya finalis tersebut diajukan oleh OIKN kepada Presiden Joko Widodo, Jokowi memilih 5 logo yang diumumkan ke masyarakat.
Logo dengan jumlah voting terbanyak akan ditetapkan sebagai logo resmi IKN, Bambang berharap seluruh lapisan masyarakat dapat berpartisipasi dalam memilih logo baru IKN.

"The selection of the IKN logo was held openly so that every Indonesian could be directly involved in the process of moving the capital from Jakarta to Nusantara, East Kalimantan," Bambang said as quoted by the IKN press release, Tuesday (4/4).
In the IKN logo design competition, the Nusantara Authority (OIKN) collaborated with the Association of Indonesian Graphic Designers (ADGI) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI).
In the first stage, there were 500 designers that participated in this event. Then, after a screening based on the requirements by ADGI's board of curators, 10 finalists were selected, and their logos were submitted by OIKN to President Joko Widodo. Then, the president chose 5 logos which were announced to the public.
The logo with the highest number of votes will be set as the official logo of IKN. Susantono hopes that all levels of society can participate in selecting the new logo for IKN.
