China-Laos Cross-Border Passenger Service Train Launched

Ini adalah momen bersejarah ketika kereta yang berangkat dari Laos dan dari Tiongkok bertemu di perbatasan. Mulai 13 April, masyarakat akan dapat melakukan perjalanan antara kedua negara dengan kereta langsung, sekitar 16 bulan setelah jalur kereta api lintas batas mulai beroperasi. Kereta berhenti di delapan stasiun di sepanjang perjalanan. Seluruh perjalanan diperkirakan akan memakan waktu 10 jam 30 menit, termasuk waktu untuk pemeriksaan bea cukai, dan tarif tiket berkisar antara sekitar 80 hingga 125 dolar Amerika Serikat.

It's a historic moment as the train departing from Laos and the one from China meets at the border. Starting April 13, people can travel between the two countries by train directly, some 16 months after the cross-border railway went into operation. The trains stop at eight stations along the way. The whole journey is expected to take 10 and a half hours, including time for customs clearance, and the ticket fares range between about 80 to 125 US dollars.
