Oil Palm Worker Attacked by Crocodile in West Kalimantan

SEORANG PEKERJA DITERKAM DAN DISERET BUAYA KE SUNGAI DI KALIMANTAN BARAT!

Sebuah insiden tragis menimpa Falmira De Yesus (38), seorang pekerja sawit asal Nusa Tenggara Timur. Ia diterkam buaya saat sedang mengisi tangki air untuk menyemprot racun rumput di Desa Air Hitam Besar, Kabupaten Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat, pada Kamis (27/7). Detik-detik video mengenaskan tersebut tersebar di media sosial.

Dalam video tampak kepala wanita tersebut pucat dan sempat turun naik dari permukaan air yang penuh dengan semak belukar. Warga setempat yang melihat kejadian mencekam tersebut, dengan sigap memberi bantuan dan menolongnya. 

Beruntung, ia berhasil dievakuasi setelah 1,5 jam lebih bertahan. Namun, ia mengalami luka gigitan di hampir sekujur tubuhnya. Kini ia dirawat intensif di RS Imanudin untuk mencegah adanya infeksi dari gigitan buaya tersebut.

A tragic incident happened to Falmira De Jesus, a palm oil worker from East Nusa Tenggara. She was attacked by a crocodile while filling a water tank to spray grass poison in Air Hitam Besar village, Ketapang regency, West Kalimantan, on Thursday (7/27). The horrifying video has been circulating on social media.

In the video, the woman's head was pale and she was bobbing up and down from the surface of the water that was full of shrubs. Local residents who saw the harrowing incident quickly came and helped her.

Luckily, she was successfully evacuated after more than 1.5 hours. However, she suffered bite wounds all over her body. She is now being intensively treated at Imanudin Hospital to prevent infection from the crocodile bite.
