ABIS 2023: Sideline Events to Feature ASEAN & World Leaders
The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) is ready to hold sideline events from the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2023. These sideline events are part of the ASEAN-BAC Indonesia Summit 2023 which starts on 1 - 4 September 2023.
"ABIS 2023 Sideline Events aim to empower and inspire the business community in ASEAN which is wrapped in the spirit of Centrality, Innovation and Inclusivity. This spirit also drives ASEAN to become the center of world economic and business growth," said Arsjad Rasjid, Chair of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC).
Arsjad also stated that through ABIS 2023 Sideline Events, there are various unique opportunities to interact with visionary leaders who are shaping the future of ASEAN and the world.
Participant registration to attend ABIS 2023 Sideline Events is still open. Registration can be done by registering an account on the ASEAN-BAC Indonesia website, namely aseanbacindonesia.id/accounts/register. After that, you can RSVP for the sideline events you want to participate in if the quota is still available.
For journalists who wish to cover this event, registration can be made through the link aseanbacindonesia.id/media. The media that can attend these events are media that will later be accredited by the government.

ASEAN Weekend Market
ABIS 2023 has a sideline event which will hold an exhibition of products from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) throughout the ASEAN region on 1 - 3 September 2023 called the ASEAN Weekend Market. This open event is held at the Senayan Multipurpose Building and is open to the public. The ASEAN Weekend Market aims to showcase the entrepreneurial and creative abilities of SMEs in ASEAN, as well as provide opportunities for delegates and the general public to connect with SME owners, exchange ideas and encourage collaboration. This event will display culinary products, handicrafts, and others.
ASEAN Women CEO Forum
The ASEAN Women CEO Forum is another event organized by ASEAN-BAC on September 2nd 2023 at The Ritz Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place. This forum is in collaboration with the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) and presents prominent women speakers from ASEAN member countries and their dialogue partners, including influential business leaders, icons, ministers and prominent thinkers such as Vice Minister of Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo; Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Philippines to ASEAN, Hjayceelyn M. Quintana; APINDO CEO, Shinta Kamdani, and many more. Sessions in this forum will discuss important topics such as digital transformation, education, financing, and leadership. By emphasizing the vital role of women in various sectors, this forum will also discuss gender inequality to strengthen women's participation in economic development and support the ASEAN Vision 2045.
ASEAN Climate Forum
The ASEAN Climate Forum is dedicated to become a forum for discussion on climate issues in Southeast Asia. This forum will be held on September 2nd 2023 at The Ritz Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place. The forum will feature speakers from ASEAN member countries and dialogue partners, including business leaders, NGO representatives and ministers. Some of them are the Executive Director at ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, Therese Mundita Lim; Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia, Ir. Arifin Tasrif, and many more. With support from knowledge partners such as Standard Chartered, PWC, Equatorise, and Bloomberg NEF, this forum is focused on a comprehensive net-zero framework, affordable energy transition, decarbonization strategy, and sustainable financing. The ASEAN Climate Forum emphasizes the importance of a sustainable development agenda to facilitate the transformation of the ASEAN region into an environmentally friendly economy and in line with the ASEAN Vision 2045.
ASEAN Future Generation Business Forum
The next forum is the ASEAN Future Generation Business Forum which will be held on September 2nd 2023 at The Ritz Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place. The forum will present influential speakers from ASEAN and dialogue partners, including businessmen, icons, politicians, scientists and socio-preneurs with support from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Gen Youth. Some of the speakers are Math Science Olympiads Medallists and Prestasi Pancasila Icons, Devon Kei Enzo and Mischka Aoki; Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno; Founder of BEENOS & BEENEXT, Teruhide Sato; Founder & Group CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd, Topp Jirayut Srupsrisopa, and many more. ASEAN Investment Forum
Finally, the ASEAN Investment Forum will also be held on September 2-3 2023 at the Sultan Hotel Jakarta. This forum provides an interactive platform to discuss investment opportunities and highlight the potential of the ASEAN region as an attractive investment and business destination. This forum is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Alpha JWC, which demonstrates a shared commitment to boosting regional economic growth in ASEAN. Some of the speakers present, namely the Chairperson of CARI ASEAN Research & Advocacy, Tan Sri Dr. Munir Majid; Head of the IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono; and many more. The forum will feature prominent speakers from ASEAN and its dialogue partners, including investors, representatives from academic institutions, business councils and chambers of commerce, government and the private sector.
