Authorities in Thailand have warned residents across the country to avoid outdoor activities due to extreme heat over the weekend. On Saturday (4/22), the temperature in some areas reached over 40 degrees Celsius.
Highest heat index, which measures what the temperature feels like due to humidity, is forecasted in Chonburi province at 53.8 degrees Celcius, with Sunday’s forecast for Phuket predicting it could feel hotter than 54 degrees Celsius.
