Conservation Officials Rescue Ensnared Elephant Calf
Jumat (19/5), Badan Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Aceh mengumumkan penyelamatan seekor bayi gajah di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya, Rabu (17/5). Para petugas menemukan hewan tersebut terluka karena perangkap rusa di sebuah desa di kecamatan Krueng Sabee, kemudian memberikan obat bius untuk pengobatan. Setelah dua jam, bayi gajah sudah cukup pulih untuk kembali ke hutan.

Aceh conservation agency announced on Friday (5/19) the rescue of an elephant calf in Aceh Jaya Regency, Wednesday (5/17). Officials found the animal wounded by a deer snare in a village of Krueng Sabee district, then tranquilized it for treatment. After two hours, the calf had recovered enough to return to the woods.
